On a pathetically limited budget, where can you get a gastronomically-friendly meal in Stumptown?

La Casita has really good mexican food (On Belmont, I think, around the corner from the Grand Cafe)
Also, Montage, on SE Morrison underneath all of the bridges has some delicious eats
Also, Fat City Cafe on SW Capitol Hwy in Multnomah Village is very yummy (open for Breakfast)
If you go to Wild Oats and Zupans on Saturday they have a lot of Free samples. There deli is also really good, get some deli food and then head to pioneer court house square for a picknick!

Good Dog, Bad Dog downtown has great hot dogs and sausages and it won't break your budget. Tavern and Pool on NW 23rd and Thurman has excellent burgers and a small order of fries is enough for three people. Its not expensive either. If its Saturday, check out the food court at Saturday Market. With a little exploring you will find plenty of cheap eats in Portland.

For dessert cafes I recommend the Spotted Cow (on SE Belmont) and the Rimsky-KorsaKoffee House (on SE 12th?).
SushiLand opened up a new place on Davis in the Pearl District. Quite good & quite cheap sushi.
I also particularly like Queen of Sheba (Ethopian food, on MLK).
