Is Lake Oswego snooty?

Do Lake Oswego residents have a reputation for being snooty? What are the type of people you've meet from Lake O? Are there places in Lake O that an average joe could have fun at?

Hi, I worked in Lake Oswego in one of the more upscale buildings. The majority of people I met in Lake Oswego were pretty nice people though there were some snobs. I got to know many of the locals because I did the books for (and in)a restraunt/club in L.O. Those who had lived there awhile were great folks.

I have to to agree with the comment above about staying out of the box. L.O. has all the "places to go" that people have already been in any other overgrown suburban business center. Try the Portland Uptown area, hit the clubs on 21st Street. You'll love it.

I was born and raised in PDX area and "Yes". Lake O has rep for snootiness. I personally don't find this to be a bad thing. ;)

Couldn't tell ya about where to hang out there if you are an "average joe", though. But there are so many great places in PDX area to hang out, don't box yourself into Lake O! Go to any of the McMinnemiun's (sorry, I know I didn't spell that right).
